Trademark Application and New Year Update
by Ash Clarke on Jan.23, 2010, under Dangermoose Studios, General, Projects
First off, the trademark application was a success! The trademark featured in the UK trademark journal at the beginning of January. In about two months, the trademark will finally be fully registered and the little ® symbol can be used for my logos and where the name Dangermoose Studios® (see what I did there?) is used.
Concept work and idea generation has begun for the first game. The game will be a 2D platformer based on the XNA framework. It’s a small project, as there will only be about 4-5 months to work on it, however, I am aiming to get the “framework” for the game done so it can be extended later and perhaps enhanced to. At a later date, I hope to extend the project and convert it over to an iPhone implementation.
As I mentioned in a previous post, to make the process easier and to produce better results in the time available, I will be utilising the TorqueX engine. From what I have seen, the engine looks promising and should help the project to come into fruition faster. I’ll post more about the project when it starts to progress.
Dangermoose Studios is Live!
by Ash Clarke on Dec.02, 2009, under Dangermoose Studios, General
Today I launched the blog and domain for Dangermoose Studios. I created Dangermoose Studios as a cover name for my work creating “indie” games built using the XNA framework and Torque X and may develop it into a business in future.
I will use this blog to highlight current projects, discuss development of these projects, as well as focusing on the use of Torque X and XNA as a development platform.
In the future I hope the site will develop into something more than a blog and a dream
More to come soon!
